I would like to quickly apologize for the lack of a post over the past few weeks, especially the Tag Tuesday post. I haven’t been feeling well and it’s been difficult for me to find the energy to do the things I need to do between dragging myself from point A to point B without falling asleep… But hey! I’m here now! 🙂
This week’s Top 5 Wednesday is “Books to Read without the Synopsis”. There are some books that are just better if you don’t have any warning to what is going to happen. These are my top 5.
This week’s Top 5 Wednesday is “classes based on books or characters from books.”
Welcome to School Death! Your major is Murder, concentration Magic. Below are 5 of the classes that you will be taking, as an example of what to expect. You will find a complete list in your syllabus, along with a schedule and rules. I can’t stress this enough… no murdering your classmates. You will have your chance to practice soon enough after you learn how to kill correctly. Remember, the difference between a free killer and a convicted murderer is the free killer knows how to get away with it.
I love a good romance, but friendship tends to be pushed to the back burner way too often, especially in YA. Sure, there’s still friendship, but it doesn’t really seem to feel like friendship. It’s usually more along the lines of acquaintances pretending to be friends. I like to see some laughing, rough housing, teasing, and even fighting. Because that’s what friends do. It’s particularly hard to find a YA book that has a bromance, two guys who are super close — AND the writer actually shows us that fact. So here are my top 5 bromances!
I am really happy with this week’s topic for Top 5 Wednesday. I’m always talking about the books I have read recently, but I never really talk about the books I read “way back when”.
I joined Goodreads back in April 2012. That’s right! I just celebrated my 5th year of being a Goodreads member… or didn’t celebrate… because I didn’t realize my anniversary was April until today. Awkward. Sorry Goodreads! I love you! Please don’t leave me!
So below are my top 5 books before April 2012. P.S. I’m not adding Harry Potter in, because that’s kind of a given (as usual)…
For this week, Top 5 Wednesday is “Characters’ Fitness Routines You Want.” Let me let you in on a little secret: I’m lazy. *gasp!* I know right? Me? Lazy? Who’da thunk it! So honestly, I couldn’t see myself doing much more than 30 minutes of jumping on a mini trampoline, with a book my my hand of course. But I do wish, just about every day, that I had more drive to work out and take better care of myself. So here are my top 5 characters that have an awesome workout routine that I wish I had.
For this week, Top 5 Wednesday is “the second book is best.” We’ve all read series where the first book is best, but then it goes downhill. We’ve read series where it gets better as you go on, which from my experience is usually what happens. But what about the middle? For this week, it’s about series where the 2nd book is the best. This challenge is going to be a bit difficult to do without spoilers, but I promise I’ll try my best. Just another little note, I have only 3 this week. It was a tough one, and I haven’t finished enough series to pick out 5. Oh well, what can ya do?
This week’s top 5 is “book covers you would live in”. We find ourselves lost in the worlds that we are reading, but have you ever just wanted to just jump into a cover? Well I have, and I am super duper excited about this week’s challenge! I could probably list 100 if I were to include books I haven’t read yet, but I am sticking to those I have read, for the sake of my sanity (and yours). For once, I am not going to say anything about the books and let the covers speak for themselves.
Today’s Top 5 Wednesday is “series that get better”, and y’all know how I love series. This one should be easy, peasy, lemon squeezy, right? Well I hope so because as I am typing this I only have 1 in mind. #GetPreparedDumbass I completely forgot Wednesday was coming until it was here. You know, it comes EVERY WEEK and yet somehow I forget until the last minute. I would take time management classes, but I would probably forget to go. So I’ll stop yapping and get to it…
Howdy everybody! I wasn’t sure if I could do this challenge. I was certain that just about every book that I had read was in either the US or Britain. And you know what? I was right. Seriously, this one was rough! But here you have it, my top 5 books that are not set in the US or Britain.
Howdy everybody! This week’s Top 5 Wednesday is Children’s books, and I’m kind of excited about it! Why? Because I am really getting into reading more kids books lately, that’s why. Why? Because I have a 4 year old. Why? Because mommy and daddy love each other. Why? Ummm… ask your mom…
Howdy everybody! This is my very first Top 5 Wednesday post! WOOOOOO! And let me tell you, what a way to start. It was hard enough digging up 5 books that I have read that didn’t have romance in them, much less 5 good ones. But, surprisingly, I did it, with an honorable mention.
